Is your dog resource guarding?

Get Patchani Pamboot dog trainer to your rescue

Resource Guarding is the act of aggressively protecting objects including toys, food, different areas, Sofas and even you!

Anything your dog perceives as valuable to him/her can be protected by snarling, growling and even snapping at you. Your dog may even show signs of object guarding when simply approaching his/her sleeping space or patting your dog.

A common instance where this occurs is when approaching your dog when he/she has:

  • Bones
  • Items (given or stolen)
  • Socks
  • Shoes
  • Underwear
  • Tissues
  • Human Food

Signs of Resouce Guarding

From my experience as a dog trainer, I can confidently tell you that one of the first signs you need to be aware of is when the ears start pointing backwards or perhaps they go very still or rigid. This is the typical body language for resource guarding.

Other signs include crouching over the object, displaying what’s known as ‘whale eye’ where their head is turned away but their eyes are still looking towards you (here are images of whale eyes from Google), and lips are slightly pulled back (almost like your dog is grinning) and the eyes might look dilated.

In two sessions you will be a lot more confident around your dog as the resource guarding becomes a lot more manageable. That’s the magic you can find in Dog Trainer Thailand reviews. I’ve done this time & again!

Client Reviews

  • Neena has given us hope. He closely watched our dog's behaviour and gave us recommendations for training steps to try to help him overcome his separation anxiety which had become a real burden. We know it will take time and we are already making great progress. Our training is tailored to our dog and instructions specific to life in our home which increases speed of results. Thank you.

  • Our dog has stayed with Neena many times and always comes back to us happy and well exercised. It's not easy leaving your dog with someone else, but knowing he takes such good care and treats her like part of the family is very reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Peter to anyone looking for boarding or training for their dog.

  • Working with Patchani Pamboot has been the best thing that happened in my career. I am a vet by profession and have worked with Peter on a number of projects, and I can with certainty attest that he is one of the best military-certified dog trainers I have met. Every time I refer my clients to him, all I receive are thank notes and much appreciation from my clients. Keep doing a good job, buddy.
